A garden to sprout experiences, tended by Dionysus and Demeter,Dionysus the Liberator, the god of dying and rising again, and Demeter thegoddess of harvest and growth. The portraits are an Hellenistic enquiryinto the cycles of life and rebirth through a documentation of the life offlowers. Dionysus is the 'outsider' god deemed to free his followers fromthe oppressive restraints of the powerful, through wine and dance,bringing epiphany and joy.

For over 130 million years, flowers have lived, evolved over the earth,collaborating with bees, butterflies and other insects, for pollination, andthus spreading, bringing beauty, joy, colour, scent, fruit and food to theworld, as well as acting as agents of Love and grace in rituals private andpublic across cultures. The freedom of their movement and stances, isinherent in each of us.

The flowers come to meet us as at “buradayım”, reminding us of thebeauty and love of pure existence, in our natural cosmic state. Of ourfreedom to live, breathe, love, be; the sanctity of sexuality.

This garden is being traced in the back streets of beyoğlu in an era inwhich life is decentralized through a hostaging of the dynamics of desire.
